9 Ways To Find A Moment Of Peace

In A Hectic Day

If your shoulders just won’t relax, these tips to find moments of peace in a hectic day will serve you well.  I want you to feel less hectic, more happy.  I want you to find moments of peace, not moments of p**p!

  • Start the day off smart!  Be conscious of the thoughts you are letting yourself focus on.  Ask yourself what you have been most concerned with lately.  If you pray, let these things go in prayer and ask for help.
  • Make time for yourself to have a moment (or more) of silence before you take on any chores or responsibilities.  Use this time to gather your thoughts and be thankful for all the little and big things you’ve been given.  Then, start your day xo
  • Give yourself more than enough time.  It’s more common to book things back to back in your daily calendar.  This is unrealistic.  The unexpected happens daily so plan for it and watch your stress levels decrease!
  • Ask for help.  When you’re in a pinch or need time for yourself, asking for help will help!  You’re not weak or a lesser person when you reach out.  It may suprise you to find out that many other women and men out there need help just as much as you do.  We are not meant to live our lives in singular bubbles, fending for ourselves.  Life is meant to be shared in community with others because we can’t run the race alone!
  • Sit down and make eye contact with your kids and spouse.  Touch the people that you love with a warm hug or kiss.  There is power in this type of connection.  If your kids haven’t been listening, sometimes eye contact and a loving touch is all that’s needed to help them really take note.
  • Connect with a cashier or  family member instead of rushing on to your next task like the world will end if you stop for a short conversation.
  • Remind yourself that you’re more capable than you feel
  • Breath deeply (more than once)
  • Carry snacks with you.  Sometimes your mood is simply “hangry” and you don’t have reserves on hand to feed the beast!

Testimonials

My time management has radically improved and I am getting a better handle on my finances.  Most importantly, my personal dreams and spiritual goals are flourishing.  My ability to relate well to my coworkers and handle my own stress has also benefited immensely.
Kisa Macdonald, Lawyer
One key principle Amy encouraged me to implement was to guard my rest (unplugging from the world and its demands). As I took care of myself better my focus and energy increased as well as my resiliency to deal with my life as a whole.  I saw how this internal peace improved my decision making, conflict resolution and even building up my business.
Jenn Co.
My life is fuller than it was before I met Amy.  I have more confidence and zest for life!  I want to do more for me and by doing so, for others.
Holly Brading
During my coaching sessions with Amy I was given many techniques to deal with personal stress provoking situations.  I regularly use these techniques now.

As a physician and mother, itʼs always been a challenge to balance work, home and self-care, but now I have more tools and ideas to make this easier.  Amy helped me set clear goals to improve my quality of life and it was amazing to see the improvement over the course of the eight sessions.
Anonymous Physician Chick
Amy helped me identify and acknowledge my insecurities and fears.  Now I know I don’t have to live in fear. I don’t have to be afraid to show the world who I am.
