Business, Babes and Busyness

I have control over some things but not everything and I’m learning to be ok with that.  What do I have in common with you?  Most likely we both juggle a few things in life, like parenting, a romantic relationship, business (work), house related responsibilities and self care.

Life Happens

Planning is great but life doesn’t always go as planned.  Today was one of the many days when I needed to morph into an elastic band and be flexible.

Clean the house

Squeeze work in before a meeting

Awesome meeting with new partner

Rush back to pick kids up for early dismissal

Bring kids to park for some fun time

Make dinner

Family Time

Fit in more work

Time with my honey

Adequate sleep

Stay happy, patient and productive! Here are my strategies:

*Talk with your husband/wife/friend about how you’re feeling.  Express your feelings.  It’s simple but we could all use the practice.  Talking helps me understand myself more.

*Choose when you will make time for yourself, family, work, etc.  Blocking out these times (in your calendar if you like) gives you permission to enjoy yourself now because you know what you’re making time for later.

*Learn to accept constructive criticism.  This has been BIG for me!  Also, apologize as soon as possible when you realize you’re out of line so that you can get back to feeling great.

You can feel at peace no matter what life throws you if you work on yourself.  If you’re willing to grow as a person then you will be able to handle more than you thought!

Have a great day and please share with me what helps you juggle life.  I’d love to hear!  Also, if you wouldn’t mind, share this article with a friend who would like more balance as well…

Testimonials

My life is fuller than it was before I met Amy.  I have more confidence and zest for life!  I want to do more for me and by doing so, for others.
Holly Brading
My time management has radically improved and I am getting a better handle on my finances.  Most importantly, my personal dreams and spiritual goals are flourishing.  My ability to relate well to my coworkers and handle my own stress has also benefited immensely.
Kisa Macdonald, Lawyer
During my coaching sessions with Amy I was given many techniques to deal with personal stress provoking situations.  I regularly use these techniques now.
Monique Robertson
One key principle Amy encouraged me to implement was to guard my rest (unplugging from the world and its demands). As I took care of myself better my focus and energy increased as well as my resiliency to deal with my life as a whole.  I saw how this internal peace improved my decision making, conflict resolution and even building up my business.
Jenn Co.
As a physician and mother, itʼs always been a challenge to balance work, home and self-care, but now I have more tools and ideas to make this easier.  Amy helped me set clear goals to improve my quality of life and it was amazing to see the improvement over the course of the eight sessions.
Anonymous Physician Chick
Amy helped me identify and acknowledge my insecurities and fears.  Now I know I don’t have to live in fear. I don’t have to be afraid to show the world who I am.
