Are You A Workaholic?  How To Regain Your Balance.

Do you feel like work is non-stop? Do you want to take time off but don’t know how to get off the hamster wheel? I’ve experienced the addictive drive to work when I’m with my family, even when we are on vacation! The boundary lines between work and play can become dangerously blurry when you run your own business or are in a leadership position at work.

“What’s so bad about working too much?” you ask. From personal experience and from working with hundreds of entrepreneurs and leaders, I can tell you that your relationships will suffer. Exercise becomes non existent. Your focus and productivity decline due to an overload of responsibility and stress. Combine all of these consequences and you have a recipe for depression, isolation and poor health.

Let’s be honest, we all have a limit to the amount of work our brains and bodies can handle. If you feel worn out and unhappy due to non-stop work, these tips will help you get your life back!

Boundary Setting

Want more free time? Want to feel happy, healthy and passionate about life?  Boundary setting will help.  No one else is going to tell you to put your phone down or stop working.  You need to become extremely rigid about when work starts and stops.

When you set healthy boundaries you are honoring your self worth.  Healthy boundaries help you create time for yourself even when you have the busiest schedule.

Prioritizing Yourself

Keeping others happy cannot be your long term strategy for success or you WILL burn out.  You are just as important as those you work with or for.  Taking 15-30 minutes to start your day off, reading, meditating or exercising will give you much needed energy and a positive outlook.

Getting Help

When you work too much, it’s challenging to pin point what habits need changing. Someone with an objective perspective, experience and tools, can help you create time for yourself. As you gain the mindset and tools to create the health and happiness you desire, your relationships and productivity will also flourish!

Getting help from someone you trust, who has experience, is a sign that you are strong and competent.  Those who ask for help know their own self worth.  Ask for help and watch yourself and your business grow!

Testimonials

One key principle Amy encouraged me to implement was to guard my rest (unplugging from the world and its demands). As I took care of myself better my focus and energy increased as well as my resiliency to deal with my life as a whole.  I saw how this internal peace improved my decision making, conflict resolution and even building up my business.

My time management has radically improved and I am getting a better handle on my finances.  Most importantly, my personal dreams and spiritual goals are flourishing.  My ability to relate well to my coworkers and handle my own stress has also benefited immensely.

Amy helped me identify and acknowledge my insecurities and fears.  Now I know I don’t have to live in fear. I don’t have to be afraid to show the world who I am.
